The stock market is expected to continue to struggle at the start of 2008 as demand for housing remains weak, credit markets are unstable, and higher inflation becomes possible. Efforts by the Federal Reserve Board to cut interest rates may help the economy in 2008, however, the housing market remains to be the main problem. Details of economic and stock market outlooks for 2008 are provided.
