Emotional capability, emotional intelligence, and radical change
Article Abstract:
A multilevel model of the impact of emotion on organizational change is proposed. This model, which incorporates the attributes of emotional intelligence at the individual level, tracks emotional capability at the organizational level. It is used to demonstrate that adaptation is enhanced by emotional intelligence at the individual level and that radical change is made possible by a high level of emotional capability at the organizational change. The model is also discussed in relation to three dynamics of change: learning, mobilization and receptivity.

CEO charismatic leadership: levels-of-management and and levels-of-analysis effects
Article Abstract:
Levels-of-management and levels-of-analysis methods are used to demonstrate how charismatic leadership can influence organizational performance. By integrating issues related to theory conceptualization, it is shown that charismatic leadership by CEOs can create positive effects across the hierarchical echelons of organizations. Moreover, it is shown that this charismatic CEO paradigm can be used to explain the increasing importance of strategic leadership in organizational life.

Multiple levels of analysis from a longitudinal perspective: some implications for theory building
Article Abstract:
A framework that explains changes in multiple levels of entities over a period of time is presented. This conceptual framework demonstrates how entities maintain their stability over time and also illustrates why these entities move toward independence at a lower level of analysis. The framework also provides an explanation why these same entities may shift to homogeneous or heterogeneous interdependence at a higher level of analysis.
