Environmental industry
Article Abstract:
The investment appeal of several of the larger companies in the environmental industry has been enhanced by mergers among industry leaders during 1998 and 1999. Continued aggressive acquisitions are also expected to lead to increased earnings among landfill and waste hauling operations, but water-treatment companies are forecast to have more mixed results for the near future. Stocks of the leading companies in the environmental industry offer good investment potential for the next three to five years.
