Several electronic office equipment applications are described. The WordPro Word Processing Bureau in Southport uses WordStar, Mailmerge, and Spellstar on the ERACOM 2050 word processor made by one of Australia's few computer manufacturers. Deposits in West Australian Trustees Limited's cash management fund grew from $8 million to $25 million in four and one-half months after the firm installed a Reality computer by AWA. A.C. Nielson Pty Ltd. of Sidney added a Xerox 9700 Taser Electronic Printing System to its office equipment. It can produce marketing research reports at two pages per minute. Systems for a university and a reprographics firm are also described.

Article Abstract:
Hilti (Aust.) Pty Ltd, manufacturer of construction tools, has installed Data General's CS-200B computer system with Comprehensive Electronic Office software plus MACS applications software. The CS-200B configuration, consisting of one megabyte main memory, two seventy-three megabyte Winchester disk drives, and 800-1600 b.p.i. tape drive, provides the company's main branches with electronic mail and filing capabilities plus graphics, word processing and information processing. The system, costing $320,000, is expected to save $62,000 yearly.
