Home entertainment centers, which also are known as home theaters, have become one of the key trends in the 1990s, according to US media and trend forecaster Faith Popcorn. Home entertainment centers feature integrated sound, television and video recording components. New audio receivers can produce three-dimensional sound by using three audio channels that faithfully reproduces the sound on video cassette recordings and other video media.
