Ex-Soviet states offered IMF, World Bank memberships

Most of the states of the former Soviet Union received offers of membership in the IMF and World Bank on April 27, 1992. The remaining states will become members when paperwork is completed. The Group of Seven nations have approved $24 billion in aid for Russia.
