Fast growth brings taste for more
Article Abstract:
Accounting firm Bennell Innes has grown consistently since 1996, but partners Mark Geldens and Stephen Goode are planning to create a brand image as consultants and to maximize growth in financial planning. Fees have grown from $1.2 million in 1996-97 to a budgeted $1.8 million in 1998-99. Geldens and Goode are targeting small business clients for consulting and are aiming to make financial planning 30% of their business within five years. Since December 1998, Geldens and Goode have built financial planning to 6% of the firm's fees.
