Fighting a Boycott

A Swiss multinational company, Nestle S.A., has had to reestablish its credibility due to a United States boycott against its product. Nestle's strategy involved the establishment of a panel of experts in various fields who would monitor Nestle's compliance with the World Health Organization's marketing code. Nestle's compliance with the marketing code will hopefully lift the boycott against them.

The Overnight Race

Competition among overnight express package delivery companies has increased. Airbourne, the newcomer to the race, has its own marketing goal. A comparison of Airbourne and Federal Express is presented. Airbourne has an edge on Federal in the delivery of small packages internationally.

Toy companies have found that profits are made in traditional toys. Many of the toy companies that expanded into the electronic market are not doing well. By switching back to dolls, action figures and board games, profits increased.
