Filing for a Changing Scene
Article Abstract:
A well designed office storage system promotes the efficient use of space and convenience of retrieval. The majority of office filing systems are suspension and linked lateral suspension which runs horizontally, saves floor space and allows access to more than one person. Lateral shelving with dividers is most space-efficient for small-sized files. Bulky material or batch filing is best filed on shelves in two-inch wide, strong folders.

Article Abstract:
A computer system for newspaper agents has been tested by a West Australia agent, cutting down the paper work time considerably. The system, Newspac, runs on a modified Tandy microcomputer. In addition to making daily and weekly newspaper-route listings and customer stop-and-start insertions, the program also keeps a running accounting for invoices and prints invoice labels.
