Fish contamination found by magazine
Article Abstract:
Consumer Reports magazine reported in its Feb 1992 issue that a significant percentage of fish sampled from markets in New York and Chicago was contaminated by bacteria and pollution. The magazine analyzed fish processing from catch to final destination.

AIDS blood-contamination trial opens
Article Abstract:
Former Deputy Health Minister Edmond Herve testified that he knew that the blood supplies in France were contaminated with the AIDS virus in Jun 1985, but the blood continued to be used through Oct 1985.

Research spending found declining

The National Science Board reports that spending on R&D dropped for the first time since the 1970s in 1990. Spending declined from $154.31 billion in 1989 to $151.57 billion in 1990.
