Friends in high places
Article Abstract:
Mark Leibler, Australia's best-connected tax attorney, feels the rich have been treated unfairly by politicians and some tax officials. The last Labor government erroneously claimed that the rich avoided $800 million in taxes a year, when the figure was actually around $100 million. Leibler's practice revolves around providing strategic advice to wealthy families and resolving grey areas of the law and not tax evasion or schemes.
