Article Abstract:
The Commerce Dept revised its figures for 4th qtr 1995 GDP downward from 0.9% to 0.5%. The revised figure was calculated using the new chain-weighted method adopted in Jan 1996. The lower figure was largely due to higher imports. Consumer spending for the quarter was adjusted upward.
