Gingrich book-deal furor renewed

Speaker of the House Gingrich met with HarperCollins Publishers owner Rupert Murdoch shortly before his book deal, which gave him a $4.5 million advance he later rescinded, was signed. Some allege the meetings were an effort by Murdoch to influence a change in television ownership laws.

House panel proposes D.C. overhaul
