Glickman's nomination was approved unanimously, 94-0, by the Senate on Mar 30, 1995, and he was sworn in as Sec of Agriculture on Mar 31, 1995. Glickman's position on farm subsidies is examined. Former Sec Mike Espy resigned in Dec 1994, under investigation of questionable activities.

Deutch confirmed as intelligence chief
Article Abstract:
John Deutch was named new director of the Central Intelligence Agency when he was confirmed by the Senate on a 98-0 vote on May 9, 1995. Deutch promises extensive reforms, especially of the covert operations wing that was rocked by the Aldrich Ames scandal.
