Going for broking, e-Choice streaks away
Article Abstract:
Australia's eChoice, an online mortgage broker, is leading the way and making money in this booming industry. Founder David Gibbs says eChoice's goal is revenue, not forward or estimated, but fully-booked turnover. eChoice, open since November 1998, is already a $40 million a month new-home-loan business. In Australia, 1.25% of mortgages are sold by online brokers. eChoice loans reflect the high-income profile of the Internet audience at an average of $200,000, compared to a national average of $134,000.
