Bottom fisher buys new life in quality hotels

Marylyn Rodgers runs the 259-room Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle, Australia, with an occupancy rate of about 72. She also bought for $4.5 million the site of an old retail wool mart which is being remodeled as the Goldsborough Hotel. In addition to 193 hotel rooms, the building will include about 80 apartments, and she hopes to sell them at prices ranging upward from $330,000.
