Haiti: U.S. to return documents
Article Abstract:
US troops serving in Haiti in 1994 seized papers that related to human rights abuses that occurred while the military was in charge of the government. The papers were returned after Haiti requested them. The US held the papers in fears of retaliation by supporters of Pres Aristide.

High court upholds Aborigine land act
Article Abstract:
Australia's High Court ruled in favor of aboriginal land rights set up in the Native Title Act after a challenge to the law by Western Australia's Liberal Party. Western Australia contains many mining companies and deposits, and state leaders will fight the court ruling.

U.S. upholds refugee returns

The Supreme Court held that the Coast Guard would be allowed to return Haitian refugees back to Haiti. The Court will consider whether the repatriation policy violates US refugee law.
