Businesses continue to use the Internet to perform electronic transactions and communications, but most chief executive officers are still unsure how to achieve the potential of the Internet and have concern over security issues. Because currency is not likely to become digital, card transactions are the preferred form of online payment. Even though credit-card based payment systems are relatively secure, the 40-bit encryption system, by which most transactions are processed, is not. Businesses rarely go beyond e-mail for online communications.

The company forecasted $7.93 million in revenues for year-end June 1999. The company has decided to focus on investments and acquisitions in Asia.
