Hey, big spenders - Australia's top advertisers dig much deeper
Article Abstract:
Australia's packaged good companies increased their advertising budgets during 1997, the first time an increase has occurred during the 1990s. In some cases, the increase was caused by new products but most packaged good companies just decided to change their advertising investment strategies. A list of the top 50 advertisers for 1997 showed that 25 companies increased their advertising budgets by 2% to 110% between 1996 and 1997, four companies showed no change in their advertising budgets for the period and 12 companies decreased their advertising budgets.
