Hormone causes mice to lose weight
Article Abstract:
Three separate research groups have discovered that the hormone leptin can reduce obesity in mice. Obese mice who were given daily injections of leptin lost 30% of their weight in two weeks, with no visible side effects. Scientists hope this research can be used to reduce obesity in humans.
