A statistical method of measuring the effectiveness of a free-standing insert (FSI) advertising campaign is described. The two-step method employs multiple linear regression and log-log regression. Study results show that, while the method has shortcomings, it can be a useful business-analysis tool and can provide clear insight into the effectiveness of an FSI campaign.
