IBM reports record $4.97 billion loss for 1992

IBM reported on Jan 19, 1993, a 1992 loss of $4.97 billion, the largest loss in a single year by any corporation in the US. The loss resulted from a 4th qtr deficit of $5.46 billion, the largest quarterly loss in US corporate history. IBM lost $2.86 billion in 1991.

AT&T to buy McCaw for $12.6 billion
