Identity, community, and audience: How wholly owned foreign subsidiaries gain legitimacy in China
Article Abstract:
Different foreign entry modes are conceptualized as distinct organizational forms in order to examine how wholly owned foreign subsidiaries (WOFSs) gain legitimacy in a host country. The results have revealed that the legitimation and competition dynamics of foreign direct investment (FDI) communities and China acceptance of the organizational form both influenced adoption of wholly foreign subsidiaries in China.

Economic distance and the survival of foreign direct investments
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken to assess the relation between economic disparities of various countries and foreign direct investments (FDI), focusing on Singapore. Results revealed that economic distance has a definite impact on FDI hazard rates.
