Improvement of piston ring quality: a case study
Article Abstract:
A case study of an automobile-parts manufacturing company specializing in piston rings that was facing a serious quality problem is presented. A systematic approach was adopted to solve the quality management problem using various statistical quality and process control tools like Pareto analysis, full factorial experiment, and Ishikawa Diagram.
