Information age makes its mark
Article Abstract:
The information age has changed the presence and focus of private companies in Australia. In 1997, the private-company sector focused on traditional industries such as manufacturing and mining and represented 6.3% of Australia's revenue. In 1999, the rapid emergence of service and information companies increased the private sector's share of revenue to just over 7%.
