Article Abstract:

The first involves the use of personal anecdotes to inspire a sense of group confidence in the executive, which will lead to project support, regardless of its own merits. The second requires the use of project related anecdotes that show success in similar or related projects, and and ascribe setbacks to temporary exogenous variables.
