True North goes to court for arbitration on the value of its stake in Publicis Communications
Article Abstract:
True North Communications, 6th largest ad agency in the world, is about to cut the last thread of connection with Publicis S.A, but not without a final dispute. Though both sides are expected to vote that Publicis Communication can be merger into Publicis, True North has filed a petition with the London Court of International Arbitration regarding the issue of losing value of its stake in Publicis Communication by virtue of the merger. True North feels it loses about $30 million.

Arnold steers for big time...'da, da, da'

Eight years ago Arnold Communications was ranked 140th among ad agencies and had billings of $40 million. Today it is 19th and billings are about $1 billion per year. Clients include Volkswagen, Talbots and Ocean Spray. Now the hardly-heard-of agency is about to acquire a New York shop to give it a Madison Avenue presence.
