It's pretty, but is it broken?
Article Abstract:
Author Denton Welch did not use elaborate plots in his works, but he was able to provide incredible descriptions of things, especially foods. He collected pretty, broken things, probably due in part to the belief that he was pretty but broken, because he was homosexual and suffered a broken spine at the age of 20. His ability to relive the past through his writings brought him much joy.
