Jobless rate rises to 5.8% in April
Article Abstract:
Unemployment went up from 5.5% in Mar 1995 to 5.8% in April, leading some to believe that the Federal Reserve Board may have slowed the economy too much with interest rate hikes. However, most analysts believe the economy should continue to grow though not as fast as it had been.

Jobless rate edges up to 5.5%
Article Abstract:
The Mar 1995 unemployment rate rose to 5.5%, up from Feb 1995's 5.4%. Analysts believe the slight change is an indication that the economy is slowing down without an increase in inflation. More people reported working in Mar 1995 than in Feb 1995.
