John Arme elected NAA president
Article Abstract:
John C. Arme, the managing partner of the San Diego office of Arthur Andersen & Co, has been elected president of the National Association of Accountants (NAA) for 1987-88. Arme has been in accounting since 1957, and has been active in NAA at both the chapter and national level for 27 years. Arme's goals for the NAA during his presidency include halting the association's five-year decline in membership, seeking out other accounting organizations which may be interested in merging with the NAA, reversing the decline of public confidence in the accounting profession, and keeping up with the rapid changes in technology and accounting regulations.
