Article Abstract:
Corporate restructuring can be efficiently achieved through complementary applications of incremental improvement and radical innovation. The first method includes total quality management, or long-term planning to modify procedures and systems. The second method includes business process re-engineering, or rapidly implemented changes to ensure immediate competitive survival.

Worker input in decision-making processes may be hindered by the region's history of authoritarianism.
