Loyalty: subversive doctrine?
Article Abstract:
The concept associated with the term loyalty has substantially changed over the years, as the corporate environment continue to evolve. Much of the change in the connotation of loyalty is attributed to the emergence of new employee-employer relationships, which center on self-interest and detriment. Most critics feel that executives have lost their sense of loyalty due to their excessive concern on career improvement.

Do crowding and prestige explain why organizations collaborate?
Article Abstract:
Results of a study conducted by Toby E. Stuart of the University of Chicago indicated that a company's competitive environment influences its decision to form alliances. Two dimensions of a company's competitive environment were examined, namely prestige and crowding. In addition, findings showed that firms that experiencing crowding and prestige are more likely to form strategic alliances with other companies.

One of the most effective support methods currently enjoyed by managers are stretch targets, which have been proven effective in improving the decision-making capacity of corporate managers.
