Australia's Macquarie Bank is contemplating acquisition of the country's largest construction company, Leighton Holdings, by buying out 53% stake of the German construction company Hochtief AG. The consideration could be in the range of $3.8 billion. The assessments made by the bank for the takeover bid are discussed.
