Mainstreaming coroprate social responsibility: developing markets for virtue
Article Abstract:
Interviews with managers involved in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives from different countries were conducted to assess how companies view "mainstreaming" CSR. Managers understand these in three models: business-case model, syncretic stewardship model, and social values-led model. The syncretic stewardship model represents the most suitable dimension of CSR, and businesses following the other two models should be made to shift to this model.
