Managing 'green' product innovation in small firms
Article Abstract:
Green product innovations by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and their strategic implications are examined. An analysis of four case studies shows that the development of green products by SMEs are being fueled by product and process environmental regulation and their concern for the environment. An integrated framework for managing green product innovations is also discussed which requires SMEs to establish a green innovation strategy and then integrate this into their technology strategy.
