Manufactured housing/rec. vehicle
Article Abstract:
The manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industry will face continued struggles, although business should improve later in 1997. High inventories at the dealer level may have been the main factor for the slow shipment growth of manufactured housing. Additionally, there are indications that the market for recreational vehicles is improving. Investors in this industry should be cautious, however, as the industry faces challenges over the near term.

Article Abstract:
Stocks in the manufactured housing industry have improved in 1998 with better-than-expected earnings and shipments, and industry consolidation is expected to continue in 1998, as well, though more slowly. Manufacturers of recreational vehicles have increased shipments through May 1998 and this is also expected to continue for a number of years. Prospects for these stocks remain good for investors through the end of 1998.
