Article Abstract:
Small business owner/researcher Stephen Choo examined small business export operations in Australia. Successful exporters were companies with foreign sales and profit growth of over 10% over the previous three years. Exporters with the greatest success had an international focus, relied on their own research, had good control over export operations and realized the effects that exporting would have upon their proprietary knowledge rights.
