Net-shy executives see no serious e-threat
Article Abstract:
A survey of Australian executives found that while over 40% of the executives in the finance sector have had their businesses affected by the Internet, other business executives are not concerned about competition from electronic commerce. The survey also found that most executives take a very narrow view of the facets of business that can utilize the Internet.

Microsoft cries "innocent" as profits keep climbing
Article Abstract:
Microsoft Corp.'s revenues for the first quarter of 1999 were $5.38 billion, an increase of 28% over the same quarter of the previous year. The company's profits and earnings don't seem to be in any danger of falling even in the midst of the Y2K computer virus and the U.S. Justice Department's anti-trust case against it.
