Investment 2000, a business-government initiative in Australia, was established to attract foreign direct investment through the Sydney Olympics. Roadshows and networking exercises will take place to market Australia to the CEOs of major global corporations. Trade takes place in the late 1990s through the networks of multinational corporations rather than through national governments.
