Navy captain acquitted of harassment

Navy Capt. Everett L. Greene has been acquitted of sexual harassment charges on Oct. 19, 1995 following court-martial proceedings. The military court at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., said it was not proven beyond reasonable doubt that Greene was guilty of the charges.

Navy secretary quits in 1991 convention sex-abuse furor

Navy Sec H. Lawrence Garrett, III, resigned over the issue of sexual abuse by participants at a Tailhook Assn aviators' conference in 1991. Twenty-six women reported being sexually abused during the convention.
