New Products: Computers-Apple Aims to Demystify Computers with 'Lisa'
Article Abstract:
LISA, the personal computer from Apple, is Apple's attempt to make computers easier to use and less awesome. The user manually moves a device called a 'mouse' which in turn moves the cursor across the screen. The cursor can be pointed to a choice of pictures which are symbols for functions. The package includes six integrated programs which allow the movement of information between them. LISA has one megabyte of main storage. Apple also has introduced the Apple Net which allows the networking of any Apple computers at $600 a connection.
