Bob Biddle built his health care employment agency Staffing Australia into a competitive company because of his investment in developing management software systems. The company will turn over an estimated $50 million in the 2000-01 fiscal year. Biddle spent 10 years and $5 million developing his software, which has computer links to clients, hospitals, and nursing homes. Biddle's investment in technology has cut placement costs by 30% since 1997.
