In this industry, companies that offer contract business forms management are expected to do well. These companies include Reynolds & Reynolds and Moore Corp. Shares of retail office supply chains Office Depot and Staples are also expected to fare better than average during 1995.

Office equipment and supplies companies are showing mixed financial results in 1993. Explosive sales at superstores such as the Office Depot have boosted sales up to 60% in 1993. The success of companies in this category has come at the expense of traditional office supply companies. Office equipment vendors with significant exposure to European markets have suffered because of poor economic conditions in that region.
