Olympic Dam continues to exceed schedules

The expansion of the Australian Olympic Dam copper and uranium mine by WMC Resources is a $1.6 bil investment. The Olympic Dam expansion is expected to be finished ahead of schedule and is shaping up as a textbook case of how to complete a project. It was estimated that the project may cost about $1.5 bil, but new estimates appear to be running over budget at $1.64 bil.
