The growing trend of mass customization of products is discussed. However, there are a few businesses, which do not conform to this pattern of thinking and want to create products for individual tastes. As of now, however, mass customization wins the game hands down because of economy of scale. The strategies of Dell Computers and Procter and Gamble, are discussed in this context.
