Internet and online applications are making personal selling more effective and efficient, according to the authors of a recent paper, Internet Integration into the Industrial Selling Process (IISP). The authors provide a checklist for managers of all possible ways that IISP improves parformance, motivation and relationships to make sure that they do not miss out effective online tools. With the use of of online tools and databases salesperson can be more prepared when they do their personal sales calls.

The cost of free trade. Moving out might not mean moving up for U.S. manufacturing
Article Abstract:
This article points out that U.S. companies are not as effective at exporting their goods and services as companies in foreign countries. As a result, U.S. manufacturing employment has continued to decline since the 1980s. Additionally, the U.S. trade deficit continues to increase. Companies also need to better consider what Ray Vernon termed "product life cycle."
