Options on Amex Oil & Gas Index Bow
Article Abstract:
The American Stock Exchange (Amex) has introduced options on an index of thirty oil and gas stocks. The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) is introducing options on a similar index, which may lead to confusion. Plans by the CBOE to begin trading options on an office equipment index are likely to lead to further confusion. Amex's computer technology index features eleven of the twelve stocks in the CBOE's new index. Even more confusing, both exchanges are planning to introduce options on numerous industry options.

The Striking Price
Article Abstract:
The March series of options expired on March 16, 1984. By that date the Stock Market had risen by 44.60 points. The Standard & Poor's 100 Index options are the most successful puts and calls to date. Industry Index Options to Bow
Article Abstract:
The American Stock Exchange (Amex) is introducing options on two stock indexes. These options are known as narrow-based because each is restricted to a specific industry's index. The first set of options is based on a computer technology index whose principal stock is IBM. The second set of options is based on an index of oil and gas stocks.
