Genevieve Bell does most of her fieldwork in suburban living rooms or sitting in buses watching teenagers sending phone messages.

Peter Doherty is the only Australia's resident Nobel Prize winner who has done great work in biotechnology research and is working on finding cures for several viral diseases, including AIDS. Immunology and infectious diseases are his areas of expertise. Some of his achievements and his life are discussed.
