Do women entrepreneurs require different training?
Article Abstract:
This paper analyzes the characteristics of male and female participants attending pioneering entrepreneurship development programs, which form part of an economic strategy directed at increasing the quality and quantity of new firms. The participants did not need to have a business plan, finance available or formal education, but must have had a 'reasonably feasible idea'. The results show significant differences between the characteristics of the male and female entrepreneurs, and the businesses which they form. (Reprinted by permission of the publisher.)

Entrepreneurial research: old questions, new answers and methodological issues
Article Abstract:
Previous research is reviewed on certain aspects of the characteristics of entrepreneurs and on the incubator organizations from which they come. Findings from these focused studies are then contrasted with the result from a broadly-based survey of 890 entrepreneurs. It is clear that care must be used in generalizing from specific studies and that researchers must consider thoughtfully the nature of samples examined and the research methods used.
