Issues concerning the dispute over softwood lumber between Canada and the US are examined, focusing on statements by Canadian Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew that Canada should win the disputes and facts that may prove otherwise, as US lumber prices are low and US lumber mills are going out of business.
